Family Worker Programs-

Family workers meet with families in their homes or at “the Cottage” to work together on issues facing the family.

Family workers can also provide information about community or government that may assist families and can advocate for clients with government and non-government business.St Mary's- Woodford

Family NSW Workers provide extra support for parents of children 0-5 years old and pregnant women . St Mary's - Woodford.

Jigsaw provides a counselling program for children 5-12 years with fees subsidies for low income families Blue Mountains LGA.

Brighters Futures Family Workers support families with children under 8 years old who are dealing with problems associated with Domestic violence, being a young parent, mental and emotional health concerns, concerns with severe childhood behaviours. The support includes a Family worker who will work alongside the Familly to achieve their goals, support for children to participate in quality early childhood parent support groups  and limited financial assistance. The Gunedoo Project offers families (with children aged 0-16 years) living in the Blue Mountains FREE information, support, advice, counselling and family enrichment programs.   If you would like to chat with one of our friendly team just call The Gunedoo Project on 1300 316 746 (local call cost) or 47 82 5326 Mondays to Thursdays 9am-4pm.

Emergency Relief – Blue Mountains LGA

 

• Food available from cottage once a month. No perishable items, but there is fruit veges and bread.
• Food Vouchers available once a month for purchase of food at Blaxland IGA

 

Financial assistance – up to $150 for a family with children, $120 for couples and $75 for singles. By appointment only, Fridays call 4739 5963

• Advocacy-Family workers will assist families to obtain payment extensions or make representations around consumers for the debt.

 

Eligibility- for food and vouchers priority to residents of the Lower Blue Mountains LGA        (Tues 9:30-12:30 - 1:30-4:00 ,
