Strengthening Family & Community

Baby Bootie Club-Young Parents

The Baby Bootie Club is a parent and child group for young parents which meets each week at the rear of the Penrith Women's Health Centre in Penrith.

Jenny from Gateway and Jeanette from Project Elizabeth (Catholic Care) run the group and provide a warm and friendly space for young parents to meet and enjoy each other's company as well as being supported on their parenting journey.

As well as craft, story, rhyme and music time there is opportunity to meet with the Community Health Nurse to check on those baby/toddler questions. The young parents are involved in planning a program that meets their needs as parents with the support of Jenny and Jeanette.

The group provides many opportunites for young parents to grow their confidence as parents and to plan for the future.

The group enjoys meeting around afternoon tea and special events that are planned into the calendar.
